Magus- Scythe-Weilding Psychopath

Magus was once Janus, Queen Zeal's son and Schala's younger brother from 12,000 BC. Through some event, he was forced into a time gate and ended up in 600 AD. Since then, he has teamed up with Ozzie, Flea and Slash to formulate his plan for revenge on Lavos... That and he's really weird. After the event where Crono dies, Alfador, Janus's cat, will follow you around if Magus is in your party. The little boy will ask you if it is your cat when you talk to him. When you run, Magus flies. It's cool looking...

Magus uses my favorite weapon- the problems with new free hidden object games Scythe. It's symbolic of reviews of zeta clear Death and the reaping of souls, as well as farming, for obvious reasons… but Magus is more like a symbol of Death. He's also got qualities much like those of Sephiroth and Vincent from FFVII. I'll talk about that later… He uses Shadow magic and, when you first meet him, he is your enemy, but you can get him into your party later in the game- after Lavos destroys Zeal and Crono dies. If you get him into your party, Frog stays a frog. If you fight him and win, he'll turn Frog back into a human at the end of the game. Get him into your party- it's just better this way. He's a powerful ally and has very strong magic power. Besides- he's poetic like Vincent and kicks ass like Sephiroth so it's cool to have him on your side.

Weapons-

Dark Scythe- Double hits against magic using enemies. magus starts out with this weapon. Attack power of 120, sells for 13,000G.

Hurricane- Buy it at the Last Village in 12,000 BC for 35,000G, sell it for 17,500G. Has an attack power of 135.

Star Scythe- Find it on Death Peak in 2300 AD. Has an attack power of 150, sells for 21,000G.

Doom Sickle- Find it in Ozzie's Fort in 600 AD. Has an attack power of 160, but only sells for a buck. :(

Magic/Techs-

Lightning 2- Just like Crono's- Magus summons lightning to strike all the enemies on the battle field.

Ice 2- Magus summons two huge blocks of ice to crush and freeze the enemy.

Fire 2- Magus calls upon the element Fire to summon a powerful flame that fries all the enemies on the battle field.

Dark Bomb- Used on Crono & co. in the fight against Magus. Magus uses a dark bomb, ie- an evil one, to bomb the enemy.

Magic Wall- Magus uses this to protect himself from attacks. If you get him in your group, he can use it on an ally as well.

Dark Mist- A dark, evil fog that "shrouds the enemy in terror." It actually just casts Confuse or some such on the enemy.

Black Hole- Black hole sun, won't you come, and wash away the rain? Nope, not in this game. Magus summons a black hole to swallow the enemy with the lowest HP level. Only used when you have him in your party, thank God!

Dark Matter- Magus's most powerful magical attack. This is really cool looking, even when he's kicking your butt with it. It looks a bit like Delta Force, but instead if using Lightning, Fire, and Water, it's more like a shadow instead. It's pretty cool looking- even better when he's casting it on someone other than you!!
